World Ocean Day 2025 was a perfect opportunity to announce the publication of our third children’s book in our conservation kids book series ‘The Zookeeper’s Quest – The Turtle and the Lights’.
This book not only highlights the issue of light pollution and its effect on wildlife but supports an incredible organisation, COPROT Tortugas de Osa, a community driven organisation protecting sea turtles and their habitats on the beautiful OSA Peninsula in Costa Rica.
Coprot focuses the majority of its efforts on the Rio Oro state refuge that includes nearly 8km of nesting beach habitat for olive ridley and pacific green turtles. They conduct research, support rehabilitation of injured turtles, manage a hatchery to increase hatchling survival rate, run community events and education programs.
