The Great UK Water Blitz is here

From the 19th-22nd September members of the community can become citizen scientists for the weekend by testing the water quality in a water body in their local area. Wilder International also participates in surveying areas of the River Soar and smaller water channels here in the East Midlands. This will help to expand our knowledge of the health of waterways in the region and inform conservation practices to ensure our conservation efforts are as beneficial as possible to restore damaged or degrading rivers. Not only does restoring our rivers and water ways benefit the wildlife and ecosystem but also has beneficial effects on land management such as a reduction in flooding and a healthier environment for water recreation.
