Our contribution to a new global wildlife welfare strategy

The World Zoo and Aquarium Animal Welfare Strategy has been just published. Wilder International founder and director Matyas Liptovszky was one of the lead authors on the Conservation and Animal Welfare chapter, providing a contemporary overview of how these two fields should work together to maximise both animal welfare and conservation impact.

As both of these fields are key to our mission, we are very proud to have been able to form the future of animal welfare in zoos, aquariums and other facilities keeping wild animals. This document, however, will be also a useful resource for wildlife sanctuaries, conservation programmes
and people interested in creating a better world for wild animals.
