As a joint endeavor of the University of Derby and Natural England, the Nature Connectedness
Network brings together individuals, groups and organisations working to enhance people’s
relationship with the rest of nature.
The NCN’s vision to create a happier and healthier society, living in harmony with a thriving natural
environment through a stronger relationship with nature is achieved by bringing together those who
are passionate about this same goal to share knowledge, collaborate, guide others and make use of
evidence based methods to bring people closer to the rest of the natural world.
We hope that belonging to this incredible movement will enable us to incorporate these key
philosophies into our biodiversity conservation and education work. Highlighting the benefits and
opportunities for communities to be truly involved and connected to the conservation work being
done in their regions.
